Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley & Machu Picchu  
7 Days / 6 Nights  

Day 1, Arrival to Lima.
Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival to the hotel, assistance with check-in procedures, welcome and briefing. Overnight at the hotel of your choice in Lima.

Day 2, Lima.
Today, enjoy a tour of the city of Lima; long considered the colonial capital of South America and a thriving city of over 8 million inhabitants. The historic downtown area has been declared a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO and its fine architecture should not be missed. Among its principal attractions are the Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the Cathedral, and the Santo Domingo or San Francisco convents.  Visit one of Lima’s great archeological museums and the garden suburbs of Miraflores and San Isidro. Overnight at the hotel of your choice. 

Day 3, Lima Cusco. Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning transfer to the airport for your direct flight to Cusco, capital of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival you will be met and driven to the hotel of your choice. Assistance with hotel check-in and a program briefing will be provided at this time. Afternoon tour of the city and nearby ruins.  Cusco is considered the archaeological capital of South America. Inca rulers once called Cusco the «Navel of the World», it remains today a city that blends colonial Spanish charm with the older, more austere remains of pre-Columbian glory. One can see the foundations of Inca structures on many of its city streets today. The city has the finest examples of Inca history and architecture, prove of these are the city’s most important historical monuments, which you will see today: The Inca Baths with a sophisticated canal system, the Koricancha Temple, the Kenko Amphitheater, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the Sacsayhuaman Fortress. Overnight at the hotel of your choice.

Day 4, Cusco - Sacred Valley.
Breakfast served at the hotel.  Start the day with a journey to the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit to the town of Pisac, and its colorful market fair. Typical Andean lunch in the Urubamba Valley followed by a visit to the Ollantaytambo Fortress. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.  

Day 5, Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu.
Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for a full day excursion to Machu Picchu, also called «The lost city of the Incas». This great mountaintop city was abandoned by the Inca Empire, reclaimed by the jungle and lost to humanity until its rediscovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911.  Machu Picchu, the incredibly preserved ruins of this fabled lost city and cradle of the most advanced pre-Columbian civilization, is still an enigma to the modern world today. Lunch at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, an Orient Express property and overnight at the hotel of your choice in the Machu Picchu area.  

Day 6, Machu Picchu  - Cusco.  
Breakfast served at the hotel.  Day al leisure to make an optional second visit to Machu Picchu in the early hours and experience it before the first morning train arrives or to roam around the town of Aguas Calientes.  Afternoon return to Cusco using the Vistadome train service.  Once in Cusco, transfer to your hotel for overnight.  

Day 7, Cusco
Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning transfer to the airport to board the flight to other Peruvian destinations or to Lima in order to connect with your international flights.
