Northwestern Peru - Chiclayo & Trujillo Package 3 Days / 2 Nights - – Extension from Lima
Day 1, Lima - Chiclayo.
Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning transfer to the airport for your direct flight. Upon arrival to Chiclayo you will be met by our agent and driven to the hotel of your choice. Visit to Tucume, an important complex formed by 26 pyramids of the Chimu legend. Visit the modern and impressive Royal Tombs of Sipán Museum, home of the most important archaeological discoveries that were found in the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, a recent discovery compared in value to the tomb of the Pharaon Tutankamon. All the exhibits are original pieces and each has been carefully cleaned and restored to the smallest detail. Lunch at a typical restaurant featuring Northern Peruvian cuisine is included during the tour. Overnight at hotel of your choice.
Day 2, Chiclayo - Trujillo.
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. 3-hour drive to Trujillo including an en route visit to El Brujo, an important recently uncovered Mochica complex which exposes relieves that represent scenes of the magical and religious world of the Mochicas. Lunch at a local restaurant in Huanchaco, the best place to appreciate the famous "Caballitos de Totora" (reed boats), presently used by fishermen who maintain the same fishing techniques as the Mochicas. Afternoon visit to the famous Chan Chan Ruins, a well planned metropolis built entirely of mud. Later, stop at the Sun and Moon Temples, the largest pre-Columbian structures in South America featuring interesting colored freezes, which are still being excavated.
Day 3, Trujillo - Lima.
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for departure to Lima.
